READING: A GOOD HABIT, I LOVE IT!
Reading is an academic activity where you can develop many educational aspects in improving your skills and abilities in reading comprehension. It involves critical thinking and cognitive skills. As defined in the dictionary it is also the interpretation of something written works.
"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends, they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors and most patient of teachers", a great saying of Charles William Eliot. A book is a storehouse of knowledge and has several advantages.
Each of us has different perspective when it comes to the basic word "reading", it's either we love or hate reading. Sometimes we are curious in what is the importance of reading?Why do we need to read? It is only a few questions in our mind. As Dr. Seuss said, "the best answer is the more you read,, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you'll go".
As a student, I love reading. I considered reading as one of my hobbies. No more question and no more explanation, the best thing I know is I enjoy every time I read.
For me, reading is a great source of knowledge. today the ability to read is highly valued and very important for social and economic advancement. I am habitual of reading, every time I read, I feel comfortable with the book. It soothes and relieves tension and loneliness. Medically it also plays a vital role to eradicate depression and unrest. Books are great assassin of boredom. It just kills the boring time.
Good readers can comprehend and understand the individual sentences and the organizational structure of a piece of writing.They can comprehend ideas, follow arguments and detect implications. In simplest sentence, good readers can extract from the writing what is the significance for the particular work or task they are employed in and they can do it essentially and quickly.
Development of our reading competence is essential for our academic success. The best way to acquire large vocabulary and knowledge is to read extensively or broadly.
Reading is a good habit. It is important in our academic development. A best line of Fran Lebonits greatly affects my love for reading. "Think before you speak, Read before you think".
